Mike Dunleavy Sr. hoping to bring 'wide-open' style of basketball to Tulane

When Mike Dunleavy decided to take the men's basketball coaching job at Tulane, he wasn't worried about his ability to adjust to the college game.

Dunleavy never coached at the collegiate level, but he believes he can take many of the principles he applied during his 17 years as a head coach in the NBA and use them to help the Green Wave.

The first-year coach completely revamped a lot of what Tulane is doing on both sides of the court and he says the players have already shown some growth in the new system.

"It's been very rewarding for me in a short period of time.
