Memphis rolls off 41 unanswered points to beat Tulane, 41-13

MEMPHIS -- Tulane's defense played admirably for the better part of 30 minutes, but the Memphis offense is too good to stop for an entire game.

Memphis, averaging 48.4 points per game coming in, put up 41 unanswered points Saturday night at the Liberty Bowl and notched its 15th consecutive win, dating to last season, overpowering the Green Wave 41-13.

The first quarter couldn't have gone any better for Tulane (2-6 overall, 1-3 in the American Athletic Conference) as quarterback Jordy Joseph, making his first start of the season, engineered a time-consuming drive that kept the potent Memphis offense off the field for 11:19.
