Memphis advances to AAC championship, 74-54 over Tulane

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Dedric Lawson had 17 points, nine rebounds and five assists and sixth-seeded Memphis beat 10th-seeded Tulane 74-54 in the American Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals on Saturday.

Shaq Goodwin added 16 points and the Tigers (19-14) will face No. 5 seed UConn in the championship game on Sunday.

Memphis scored 13 straight in the second half, capped by Trashon Burrell's pair of free throws, to make it 64-37 with 7:33 left -- the Tigers' largest lead of the game.

Burrell, Markel Crawford and Nick Marshall scored 10 each.
