The Bears aren't offering details on running back Matt Forte's knee injury but the team doesn't believe it's a long-term problem.
Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte injured his knee in yesterday's contest against the Minnesota Vikings. The extent of the injury has still not been made public but the Bears do not believe it's season-ending.
"I don't see it being season-ending," head coach John Fox said today.
Niether Forte nor receiver Eddie Royal, who also suffered a knee injury yesterday, will require surgery.
Jay Glazer reported yesterday that Forte's knee problem is likely an MCL injury, which, depending on the severity, may not keep Forte out for very long.
