After a back-and-forth scoring night, Tulane came away with a 7-6 win against Stetson thanks to Lex Kaplan's two clutch hits and four RBIs. This win is Tulane's fourth straight and sixth in their last seven games.
The Green Wave (9-13) were down by two runs going into the fourth inning when Jerret DeHart scored off of a Tyler Heinrichs single. Kaplan followed with a 3-run homer, scoring Heinrichs and Sal Gozzo and putting Tulane up 4-2.
"I just got a pitch that I could drive and get out of there," said Kaplan.
Tulane kept up the offensive momentum in the fifth inning with Jake Willsey scoring on a single by Hunter Williams, and Grant Witherspoon scoring on an RBI by DeHart.
