Tulane quarterback Jonathan Banks couldn't have scripted a better start to his Green Wave career.
The junior college transfer rushed for 21 yards on his first career carry, and his first pass was a 30-yard touchdown to Terren Encalade as Tulane rolled to a 43-14 victory over Grambling State at Yulman Stadium on Saturday night.
"I feel like as an offense, we played clean," Banks said. "We still have some cleaning up to do. It was a good way to start off the year. (The opening drive) was good to get my confidence going. Like I said, Grambling is over and done with, so now we're coming for Navy.
