Tulane coach Willie Fritz knows what the Green Wave has to improve on this season.
"We've got to play better offensively," he said after Thursday's practice. "We were in the 20s defensively last year, and we did some decent things in the kicking game. We've got to get a lot better offensively, and we've got to get more of an impact in the game with our return units."
The offensive improvement starts upfront with an offensive line that will see seven or eight players contribute on Saturday, Fritz said. Center Junior Diaz and left tackle John Leglue are the stalwarts while true freshman left guard Corey Dublin, from Jesuit, has impressed.
