had its second-highest rushing total in school history during Willie Fritz's first season as head coach, but he doesn't see it as something worth bragging about.
In fact, he's somewhat disappointed by it.
"It was good, but we can do a heck of a lot better," the second-year coach admitted.
Tulane ended 2016 with 2,737 rushing yards as a team, falling only 262 yards short of the school's single-season mark which was set in 1931.
With a year of experience running Fritz's spread-option scheme, the Green Wave are expecting major strides from the running game in 2017.
