One of Tulane's biggest issues in its first season under coach Willie Fritz was the team's lack of depth at several key positions, but that certainly wasn't the case when it came to running back.
The Green Wave went into last year with a deep stable of experienced backs which fit in perfectly with Fritz's run-heavy, spread-option attack and resulted in the team ending 2016 with the second most rushing yards in school history (2,737).
Tulane had three different running backs rush for at least 500 yards last season, but two of them left for graduation--Josh Rounds and Lazedrick Thompson.
