Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney and the school have agreed to a contract extension that binds to coach to the school through 2024, the athletic department announced on its website Friday.
Swinney, who guided the Tigers to their second national title with last season, agreed to the eight-year extension with the financial terms undisclosed. The deal was approved by the Clemson University Board of Trustees Compensation Committee.
Swinney turns 48 years old in November and has compiled an 89-28 record in eight seasons. His 2016 salary was reportedly $5.
