Tulane scored first for the third straight game, but dropped its American Athletic Conference series finale at Cincinnati, 11-1, in seven innings Sunday afternoon at Marge Schott Stadium.
The Green Wave (14-18, 4-2 American) won the series with 16-8 and 6-2 victories Friday and Saturday. Hunter Williams put Tulane on the board in the first inning with a mammoth home run over the 30-foot fence in center field, which sits 400 feet from home plate.
The Bearcats (15-16, 2-4 American) took their first lead of the weekend with two runs in the bottom of the second, then added nine across the fourth through seventh innings to win by 10 runs after seven innings, a conference rule for Sunday games.
