Mike Dunleavy had a pretty good idea of what to expect from his roster when he took the job to become Tulane's men's basketball coach, but one player surprised him when he got to see the team for the first time in person.
"I just remember seeing (Tulane forward) Cam Reynolds while the team was playing a game of pickup," said Dunleavy. "I leaned over to the person next to me and just said, 'Who's that guy?'"
The 6-foot-7 forward intrigued Dunleavy because of his combination of size and shooting ability. The first-year coach knew that Reynolds' skill set would be a perfect fit for the up-tempo, spread style of offense he hoped to bring to the Green Wave (3-7).
