AMHERST, MASS. — Glen Cuiellette had just hit the turf hard, his right shoulder slamming into the ground after keeping the ball on an option in the second quarter. The redshirt sophomore quarterback stayed down for a few seconds before heading back toward the huddle, but when Tulane trainers walked out on the field, he was forced to leave the game. He spent most the quarter on the sideline.
But when the second half began, Cuiellette made sure there were no doubts about his arm. Dealing with what he would later call a stinger in his shoulder, the quarterback completed a rainbow of a touchdown pass down the sideline for a 36-yard score to his favorite target of the evening, redshirt sophomore Terren Encalade.
