Bears on Wrong End of Rushing Trends

Tim Fuller/USA TODAY Sports

Against the Vikings on Sunday, the Bears will look to reverse their current downward trend in both running the ball and defending the run.

The Chicago Bears defense has allowed just one 100-yard rusher all season: Seattle's Thomas Rawls in Week 3. No running back has produced a top-tier individual effort against the Bears yet the team currently ranks 25th in the NFL in rushing defense (124.8 yards per game) and yards per attempt (4.5). In Week 6, the Lions posted 155 rushing yards as a team, despite no single player rushing for more.
