Grambling's offense overpowered Southern in the second half to run away with a 52-30 win in the 43rd annual Bayou Classic at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Saturday night.
By winning Saturday's game, the Tigers clinch a spot in the Southwestern Athletic Conference title game and will play two-time defending champion Alcorn State next week in Houston.
Grambling only went into halftime with a a four-point lead, but broke things open in the third quarter.
The Tigers opened the second half with a seven-play, 80-yard drive that ended in a 45-yard touchdown run by quarterback Devante Kincade.
