Alabama A&M escapes with 68-67 OT win over Tulane

NEW ORLEANS -- Ladarius Tabb scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Jacob Perry hit a game-winning layup at the buzzer to give Alabama A&M a 68-67 overtime win over Tulane in the season opener on Friday night.

Just two field goals and five total points were scored in the overtime period. Louis Dabney made a layup with 4:00 left for Tulane's only basket, which gave the Green Wave a 67-65 lead. A Nicholas West free throw for the Bulldogs cut their deficit to one with 2:27 remaining, setting up Perry's heroics on the final possession.
