Biagas, along with a skeleton crew of City Park staff, worked tirelessly to remediate and refurbish Tad Gormley and Pan-American Stadiums, both of which were swamped by several feet of water from various canal breaches in the Lakeview area. Thanks to Biagas’ dedication, Tad Gormley was restored in time for the 2006 football season and Pan-American for the 2008 season. “I was a football coach for 23 years so I know how important home field is,” Biagas said. “My motivation was to find a place for the local schools to play their home games instead of having to travel everywhere.
