Junior college transfer Jonathan Banks won the starting quarterback job during the spring and the Tulane coaching staff has worked diligently to help him get a full grasp of the team's patented spread-option attack.
Banks worked over the summer with the Green Wave receivers to build better chemistry and it's already started paying off with some of the big plays they've connected on during practice.
The redshirt junior still struggles with his consistency at times, but his ability to make plays in both the running and the passing game should bring a different dynamic to the offense.
