Tulane officially announced the hire of Mike Dunleavy Sr. on Monday morning. Some are wondering what the connection is between Dunleavy and the Green Wave. Once such connection could come his wife Emily, who is a native New Orleanian.
Dunleavy spent parts of 11 seasons in the NBA. He led the NBA in 3-point shooting percentage (.345) in 1982-83 and was also first in 3-pointers made that season (67). During the 1988-89, 89-90 seasons, Dunleavy played in seven games while an assistant coach with the Milwaukee Bucks.
