Women's Tennis Defeats Arkansas State in Sun Belt Tournament

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. – The Troy women's tennis team advanced to the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament with its 4-0, opening round victory over Arkansas State. Troy is now 8-10 on the year while Arkansas State falls to 4-9.

Troy got the Sun Belt Conference Tournament started on the right foot with its dominating performance in doubles. The Trojans jumped on the Wolves from the start as the duo of Shevita Aulana and Matea Mihaljevic earned the 6-0 shutout victory on court three. On court two, the pair of Michelle Ncube and Andrea Widing was able to clinch the doubles point for Troy with their 6-2 decision.
