MACON, Ga. – Highlighted by a pair of singles quarterfinals appearances, the Troy women's tennis squad wrapped up their opening tournament of the season Sunday at the Mercer Gridiron Classic.
After winning a pair of matches Friday, advanced to the Flight B2 quarterfinals. Ncube ultimately fell to the flight champion, Emilia Alfaro, 6-3, 6-1.
In the Singles Flight C1, recorded a pair of wins Friday to also advance to the quarterfinals. Kukaras fell to Daniela Rivera, 6-3 6-3.
On the doubles side of action, Ncube and Olivia Elliot won their opening round matchup Friday.
