DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – It what will be Troy's final athletic event of the foreseeable future, the Trojans' women's golf team won the Lady Cat Invitational, which was shortened to 36 holes due to the COVID-19 virus. Teams played two rounds Monday at the LPGA International Golf Course.
Troy fired a 1-over 289 in the opening round before coming back with an 11-over 299 in the second round to win by six shots over host-Bethune Cookman. ShaeLee Scarberry carded seven birdies over the two rounds – second best in the field – to finish at 2-under par and in second place individually; her fourth top 10 finish of the year.
