Women’s golf faces stiff competition, finished 13th

The Trojan women's golf team steadily fell two spot after the first round of play, finishing 13th out of 20 teams at the Palmetto Intercollegiate.

The Troy women’s golf team placed 13th out of 20 teams at the Palmetto Intercollegiate in Kiawah Island, South Carolina. It shot a collective 59-over 923, scoring 307-303-313 over the course of a competitive three rounds of play.

Senior Fátima Fernandez Cano led the Trojans, tying for 19th place with an 8-over 224 score. Cano shot a consistent 2-over 74 in the first two rounds of the tournament, but followed with a 4-over 76 performance in the third to wrap it up.
