TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's basketball program started the 2019-20 season in exciting fashion Tuesday night with a thrilling 101-52 victory over Fort Valley State inside Trojan Arena.
The nerves were running high for Troy in the opening quarter as the Trojans ended the first with just a 13-12 advantage. The Trojans found their groove in the second, going on a 27-8 run to blow the game wide open before closing out the first half with a buzzer-beating triple from Tyasia Moore.
Coming out of the locker room Troy was poised to build off the momentum they had created in the second quarter, extending their lead with a 20-6 run to open the third frame.
