STARKVILLE, Miss. – Troy women's basketball fell to No. 10/8 Mississippi State on Saturday, 82-122. The Trojans 82 points scored is the third-most points scored against Mississippi State since the 2016-17 season.
The Trojans started the game strong, going toe-to-toe with the 10th ranked Bulldogs on their home court for much of the first quarter. Tiyah Johnson and Jasmine LeBlanc combined to score the first points for Troy early in the contest.
As the first half played out Troy had one of its best shooting performances of the season, connecting on 14 of its 38 shots, including four triples and six free throws for 38 points at the break.
