LAFAYETTE, La. – Troy women's basketball was tested on the road Saturday afternoon, earning a hard-fought 67-64 victory over Louisiana. The win avenges Troy's only Sun Belt loss of the season and improves the Trojans record to 19-3 overall and 10-1 in the Sun Belt Conference.
For the second time this season Troy and Louisiana went back-and-forth from the opening tip, with neither team being able to grab ahold of the game and put the other team away. Troy led the game for over 35 minutes but Louisiana never went away. In the contest there were six ties with 10 lead changes, eight of those lead changes came in the fourth-quarter.
