Anthony Reed will smile and clap, celebrating when his record’s 28-year run reaches its demise, likely this weekend.
Reed, now 50 years old with a son playing college football, won’t be disappointed once his time as Troy’s all-time leading men’s basketball scorer comes to an end.
Wesley Person Jr. is on the cusp of eclipsing Reed’s 1,875 points from 1986-90, and Reed hopes to be there to shake his hand.
“It was a big accomplishment and I’m proud of it, but the competitor in me wanted more,” Reed said.
