MOBILE — Troy offensive lineman Tyler Lassiter stood at Ladd-Peebles Stadium on Friday night, the season — and his career — just complete, and exclaimed lofty goals for next year’s Trojans.
“I want a Sun Belt championship,” Lassiter said.
For all the surprising success enjoyed by the Troy Trojans this year, next season will have an added dimension.
Expectations.
Much may not have been predicted for the Trojans in 2016, but a 10-3 record after Friday’s 28-23 win over Ohio in the Dollar General Bowl will keep that from happening in 2017.
And that will start on offense, where the Trojans are scheduled to have eight starters returning, including their two biggest weapons in quarterback Brandon Silvers and Jordan Chunn.
