If the casual basketball – or any Troy – fan glanced at the basketball standings today, I can completely understand this reaction.
The Trojans have begun yet another season below .500, sporting a 5-8 record that includes a 0-2 start to Sun Belt Conference play. Facing Georgia State, an 8-3 squad who just so happened to win an NCAA Tournament game last year, on the road Thursday could compel one to believe Troy is headed for an 0-3 start in conference play.
I can sympathize with the boredom of it all. Troy has not posted a winning record in five seasons, and in that time, the Trojans have claimed victory just 34 percent of the time.
