TROY — Kaylon Geiger, past that Troy had won, wasn’t familiar with the Trojans’ recent history against Coastal Carolina.
But Geiger’s enthusiasm grew as he learned.
Troy’s three kickoff-return touchdowns in the last two years against the Chanticleers, including one to open last year’s game, vaulted his eagerness to a new level.
His appetite surged. His eyes widened.
“Let’s make it four,” Geiger said, looking ahead to Saturday’s game. “Hopefully, we can start like that this year. That’s the goal.”
