The Govs had several hard hit balls, including a few that drove Enterprise center field Matt Hagler practically to the fence at Northcutt Field. Enterprise, on the other hand, had capitalized on Wallace walks and errors. But in the bottom of the eighth inning, things changed.
That’s when B.J. White connected for a three-run homer that sailed over the fence in left field. That tied the game at 4-4. Then one inning later, Joey Bend, who had previously hit three hard hit balls for outs, finally connected on one that got through the infield.
