TROY – A couple of transfers joined the rest of the Troy Trojans on the football field Friday morning on a spirited first day of preseason practice.
Junior wide receiver Daniel Crowell, who helped East Mississippi Community College to a NJCAA national championship last season, and Trevon Woolfolk, who ran for 1,209 yards and scored 20 TDs last season in helping Peach County High to the Georgia AAA title game, were among those working during a two-hour session at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Crowell caught 24 passes for 254 yards last season for East Mississippi and was ranked among the top 100 receivers in the country coming out of Meridian, Miss.
