Troy running back Jabir Daughtry-Frye and defensive back Marcus Jones were honored with weekly individual awards by the Sun Belt Conference on Monday.
Daughtry-Frye was named Offensive Player of the Week after totaling 176 yards on just seven touches in a 45-21 win over Coastal Carolina. The sophomore from Pensacola, Fla., scored on a 74-yard run and a 35-yard reception from wide receiver Luke Whittemore.
Jones was named Special Teams Player of the Week after returning the opening kickoff of the game 96 yards for a touchdown. The Enterprise native is the Trojans' all-time leader with four career kickoff returns for touchdown.
