Troy's Grant Bennett battles through pain for successful season

Statistics provide paramount evidence. Despite the fact opponents are hitting 30 points higher (.263) off of him in 2016 than in 2015, Bennett’s ERA is currently 2.15 – almost a full point lower than last season’s 3.12 mark.

Runners may get on, but rarely are they coming home.

“He has the rare ability to raise his competition level to whatever level he needs, regardless of how he feels,” Troy head coach Mark Smartt said. “At key moments, he executes at an extremely high rate. He’s able to win big moments.”

Bennett unleashes an unshakeable demeanor in some of Troy’s biggest games.
