Troy's Daughtry-Frye back full speed after injuries

TROY – Almost two years of pain, rehab, self-doubt and anxiety left Troy running back Jabir Daughtry-Frye with each step he took on a 23-yard touchdown run Saturday against Boise State.

“It was a great feeling,” Frye said Monday about the touchdown run and what he felt immediately after the play. “Just the process of getting back. It was a long journey. I’m here now, I might as well make the best out of the it, the most out of it, every opportunity I get.”

His teammates couldn’t have been happier for him – and not just because the touchdown tied the game 7-all in the first quarter.
