TROY, Ala. – Mardi Gras returns to the Wiregrass on Saturday, Feb. 11, with Troy's annual Trojan Mardi Gras celebration in Trojan Arena before Troy's men's basketball game against Louisiana.
Reserved tickets to the game are buy one, get one free, while all kids 12 and under will receive a free general admission ticket to the game. Trojan Mardi Gras starts at 3 p.m. on the concourse of Trojan Arena, and the game tips off at 4 p.m. The first 1,500 fans through the doors will receive a free Troy State shersey.
Numerous restaurants and vendors will be on hand with free samples for fans during the Mardi Gras celebration -- Preston's, marinated steak tips and chicken; Publix – King Cake, Jersey Mike's – mini turkey and ham subs, Conecuh – sausage dogs; Coca-Cola – product sampling; Cook Me Something Mister – jambalaya; Domino's – pepperoni and cheese pizzas; Alabama Peanut Producers – peanut samples; Confucius Institute – dumplings and egg rolls; West Walnut Cookie Company – cookies; Goldfinger's – Saratoga chips and corn nuggets.
