TROY, Alabama – Alexis Garrett, a member of the Troy track & field team, will serve the Sun Belt Conference as the league's representative on the NCAA Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). She begins her three-year term on the committee beginning with the 2019-20 athletic year.
"I am honored to represent not only Troy University, but the entire Sun Belt Conference and every student-athlete that is a part of it," Garrett said. "I want them all to know that in me, they have a representative that embraces integrity, confidence and determination. I am so excited for this opportunity to have a hand in improving the student-athlete experience and super thankful to be chosen by the committee.
