Troy Women’s Tennis Falls to North Florida

TROY, Alabama – The Troy women's tennis team played its second straight home match, but fell to North Florida, 5-1, at the Lunsford Tennis Complex on Sunday.

Troy (5-3) started slow with losses at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles as North Florida (4-2) took the match's opening point.

Sanae Ohta tied the match and got Troy on the board with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Luise Intert at No. 3 singles. However, the Ospreys won the next two matches, winning at No. 1 and No. 4, respectively, both in straight sets.

With North Florida leading the match, 3-1, and all three remaining matches moving to the third set, Troy needed to win all three to take the team win.
