How It Happened
After the Green Wave opened the contest on a 5-0 run, Troy, sparked by a three pointer from , began chipping away at Tulane's advantage. A fast-break layup from Johnson knotted the game up at 17 midways through the first quarter before the guard gave Troy its first lead of the night, 20-19, with just under four minutes left in the opening period.
