TROY — The Troy women’s basketball team, the 2016 Sun Belt Tournament champion, learned on Monday night that it will face Oregon State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Trojans earned a 15 seed in the Dallas Regional and will face the No. 2 seed Oregon State on Friday at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Oregon. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. in a game that will air on ESPN2.
The Trojans and Beavers will be joined in Corvallis by No. 7 seed Oklahoma State and No. 10 seed St. Bonaventure. The winner of each first-round game will advance to Sunday’s second round game with a spot in the Sweet 16 on the line.
