TROY – Super Bowl champion and former Troy Trojan great DeMarcus Ware will be honored by the state of Alabama, Troy University and the city of Troy on Tuesday, April 19, as it will officially be DeMarcus Ware Day throughout the state.
Ware will be recognized as an Alabama native and a Troy Trojan for his role in Super Bowl 50 and his stellar NFL career.
DeMarcus Ware Day will culminate with a special ceremony in Trojan Arena beginning at 5 p.m.
Troy University Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr., will present Ware with the Troy Distinguished Leadership Award and Troy Mayor Jason Reeves will present Ware with a key to the city.
