TROY, Alabama – The Troy volleyball team fell to Tennessee, 3-0, on Wednesday night at Trojan Arena, despite a trio of Trojans tallying seven kills in the match.
The first set was tied at 14 when Troy (6-14) fell victim to a quick 4-1 run by Tennessee (11-6). The Trojans cut the deficit to two points three times and one point twice, but the Volunteers ran away with it late for a 25-21 victory.
Troy went on a run of its own in the second set with the set tied at 14, but Tennessee stormed back and took a 22-20 lead that eventually led to a 25-23 win.
