TROY, Alabama – The Troy volleyball team fell to Georgia Southern in five sets (25-23, 25-23, 23-25, 23-25, 15-11) after taking the first two sets in Trojan Arena on Friday night.
Troy (6-17, 0-6 Sun Belt) won the first two sets thanks to a .265 hitting percentage in the first set and taking advantage of five Georgia Southern (11-9, 4-1 Sun Belt) errors in the second set.
After Troy went on a 6-2 run in the third set, Georgia Southern took a 14-10 lead after a run of its own. With the set tied at 23, the Eagles scored the next two points to take a 25-23 third set win.
