TROY, Alabama – The Troy volleyball team fell to Texas State, 3-0, in the Sun Belt Conference opener on Friday night at Trojan Arena.
Troy (6-10, 0-1 Sun Belt) battled and fought in the first set after Texas State (8-9, 1-0 Sun Belt) scored eight unanswered points to take an 11-3 victory. The Trojans battled and tied the set at 14, but the Bobcats ended the match on an 11-5 run to clinch a 25-19 first set victory.
The second set saw the Trojans take an early 5-1 lead, but Texas State stormed back to take a 17-10 lead and eventually win 25-18.
