TROY, Alabama – Head coach Sonny Kirkpatrick and the Troy volleyball program announced the signing of middle hitter Miruna Giurgiu on Friday.
A native of Romania and a current resident of Guadalajara, Spain, the 5-foot-11 middle hitter currently plays for her club team Universitario Guadalajara in the Spanish second division. She also plays for her high school, IES Brianda de Mendoza.
"We are really excited about adding Miruna to our program," Kirkpatrick said. "She has played at a really high level in Spain, and we know that she will have a chance to help us right away.
