Troy Trounces Alabama State by 70

TROY, Alabama – Troy dominated from start to finish in a 116-46 throttling of Alabama State on Thursday in Trojan Arena. The 70-point margin of victory is the largest against a Division I opponent in program history.

Seven Trojans scored in double figures led by Jasmine Sanders with 21 on 8-of-9 shooting. Kayla Robinson nearly etched her name in the record book with 10 points, nine assists and eight rebounds – just shy of becoming the first player in Troy Division I history to record a triple-double.

Off to its best start since the 1990-91 season, Troy (6-1) opened the game on a 10-0 run and scored 12 points in the first two-and-a-half minutes.
