The Troy men’s basketball team has played a game at the Dothan Civic Center for two consecutive seasons, and now the women’s team will make the 55-mile trek to the venerable building tonight. The Trojan women will play host to NAIA’s Thomas University of Thomasville, Ga., at 6 p.m.
Though just two games in the season, the Trojans (1-1) enter with some momentum after pasting Belmont 91-74 Wednesday in a game they led by 29 points before the Bruins mounted a late run. Both teams participated in the NCAA Tournament last year.
“I thought if we won it, it would come down to the wire,” Troy head coach Chanda Rigby said of that contest.
