TROY – In a game filled with runs, the Troy Trojans made their last one against Appalachian State stand Monday at Trojan Arena.
The Trojans launched a 13-2 run to build a 65-52 lead in the second half and held off one final charge from the Mountaineers for a 76-66 victory. The Trojans also had a pair of 14-2 spurts in the game but had to fend off a pesky Mountaineer squad each time.
Troy has now won four consecutive conference games for the first time since the 2009-10 season, when they won seven in a row late in the season.
