A quick look at the Sun Belt standings indicates what’s at stake when Troy visits Georgia Southern in Statesboro Saturday at noon.
The Trojans (7-2 overall, 5-0 SBC) have a one-game advantage on the Eagles (7-2, 4-1), who have been on a roller-coaster the past two weeks. At home on Oct. 25, Georgia Southern dismantled Appalachian State and handed ASU its first Sun Belt loss 34-14. Last week, the Eagles were routed at ULM 44-25.
Georgia Southern, coached by Chad Lunsford, will try to bounce back at Paulson Stadium, where the Eagles will try to finish 6-0 at home.
