It’s not accurate to say Saturday's Troy-Nebraska game means that the series has come full circle.
It’s more like another etching on Troy’s football wall, like the lines on a child’s closet door mark another year’s growth.
Nebraska was where the Trojans’ Division I-A existence began. The Trojans opened the 2001 season in Lincoln – a 42-14 defeat that earned the visitors plenty of respect, if not a victory.
The game is Troy’s fifth against the Cornhuskers, and its first since 2006. Nebraska also won 31-16 in 2002, 30-0 in 2003 and 56-0 in that 2006 meeting.
